Before they were cards,
they were commentary.
Vestige began with political cartoons and satirical prints from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, sourced primarily from Puck magazine. We looked for scenes whose gestures, tensions and power dynamics could speak as tarot.
Every illustration has a life before the deck.

One historical image.
A new way to read it.
An original period print is the starting point. We clean damage, recover detail and adapt the composition to the card format, then place the image within the 78-card structure. The historical illustration remains at the heart of the card.

A few useful details.
Can I read with Vestige if I know a standard tarot deck?
Yes. Vestige has the familiar 78-card structure and card names. Its guide interprets the historical scenes themselves, so the imagery and emphasis differ from a standard Rider-Waite-Smith deck.
Are the illustrations generated by AI?
No. Vestige uses authentic historical illustrations sourced from period prints and restored for printing. These were existing works of art before they became tarot cards.
What is included in every edition?
The 78-card tarot deck, its collector box and the PDF guidebook. The hardcover book and the 36-card Vestige Oracle are optional additions, clearly listed in the edition selector.
What is the difference between the PDF and the hardcover?
The PDF is a digital guide included with every edition. The 88-page hardcover is a physical companion book; choose an edition that explicitly includes Hardcover Book to receive it.
Is the oracle part of the 78-card tarot?
No. Vestige Oracle is a separate 36-card deck. It is included only in the Tarot + Oracle and Tarot + Hardcover Book + Oracle editions.
How do shipping and returns work?
Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for items that are new, unused and unopened in their original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer.
